What is acetate?

Each one of our frames is handmade from high-quality plant-based acetate, which is known for its luxurious touch and eco-conscious features. It is made from renewable sources — instead of oil-based ones.

Features

The plant-based acetate combines two main elements: wood pulp and cotton. The plant-based-acetate is a light, durable, resilient, and flexible material that has the ability to create a custom fit. The plant-based acetate brings the product the luxurious feel of a natural substance.

Polarized lens

All of our sunglasses lenses are made of triacetate cellulose. TAC polarized lenses utilize a 7 layer technology formulated for superior visual and polarization clarity. Polarized TAC lens blocks 99% of harmful UV rays with wavelengths up to 400 nanometers. Polarized lenses reduce glare and eye strain, while still delivering 100% UVA/B/C protection. TAC lenses are very lightweight and highly impact resistant.
